Account deletion

Closing an account should be clear.

This page explains the current scope of account deletion and honestly identifies the request steps that still need release verification.

What account deletion means

Account deletion is intended to remove the account and account-linked Minutes & Maps data from active systems, subject to technical verification and any information that must be retained where required by law.

Deletion is different from signing out, removing the application from a device or hiding a friend relationship.

Data a request may cover

  • account identifiers such as email address, display name, avatar and internal user ID;
  • focus sessions and virtual journey progress;
  • destination and virtual map position;
  • coins, inventory, companions and vehicles;
  • city stamps, postcards and passport progress; and
  • friend requests, relationships, presence and virtual friend-location records.

The final deletion scope, backups and timing remain subject to verification before release.

Information that may need to be retained

Limited information may need to be retained if required by applicable law, to protect security or to document a completed deletion request. No fixed retention period is claimed before those requirements and the production data flow are confirmed.

How to begin deletion

Send a request from the email address associated with the account. Include only the information needed to identify the account; never send a password or sign-in code.

Email support@minutesandmaps.com to begin

No in-app deletion menu path is stated because that control has not yet been confirmed. If you cannot use the eventual request method, visit Support for the verified alternative.

App-store requirement

This web page does not replace an in-app account deletion option where an app-store rule requires one. The final application flow must be confirmed separately before release.
